How to Get Palm-Oil Stains Off Pots and Plastic Bowls

Palm oil is delicious but stubborn. Here's how to lift it from pots, bowls and containers.

Wipe first

Use a paper towel to wipe out as much oil as possible before washing. Less oil means less soap.

Soak in warm, soapy water

Add a little Multipurpose Liquid Soap to warm water and soak for 15 minutes, then scrub.

Let the sun help

For plastic bowls with an orange tint, dry them in direct sunlight after washing. The colour often fades.
